Becky + Ben // Cape Cod Wedding
Becky and Ben are a great couple. Becky is a nurse, and Ben is in tech. They met in college and from what I hear, Becky had a crush on him and he had no idea until way later.
We immediately bonded over our mutual love for Radio Coffee and Beer and I've been looking forward to their Cape Cod wedding ever since they booked me. They're both hilarious and at their wedding I found out that their friends and family are the same way.
Their wedding was at Camp Bournedale in Plymouth, MA, and the ceremony was outdoors on Great Herring Pond. Ben's family lives in Boston (and his family also has an amazing cabin on Cape Cod which is where they honeymooned and where we did our day-after shoot) and Becky's family lives in Connecticut, so New England was a great spot for their wedding. A handful of their friends from Austin were there too, but it was mostly family.
All the leaves were changing and the weather was perfect. Both of their families were amazing on the day of, just super supportive and really ready to lend a hand. A family friend that's known Ben for most of his life officiated the ceremony, which was really lovely and meaningful.
They started the reception off with steamers and clam chowder, and one of their friends made their cake topped with Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and another figure I couldn't identify but later found out was Monkeywrench from GI Joe. Their nephew, who is probably ten years old, sang at the receiption and it was super sweet and such a surprise.
After their wedding, Pangs and I went to Provincetown for a little while and explored, which was a lot of fun. This was my second time going up there, and I don't think it will ever get old.
Scroll down to look through photos from Becky and Ben's incredible day, including an amazing Betty Draper-like photo I took of Becky towards the end of the night. Special shout-out to my friend Pang who shot this wedding with me!
I'll be back in the Northeast twice in 2018-- at the end of May and end of October-- and I'd love to do some more shoots. Contact me here and let's chat!
