Corley + George // Chapel Dulcinea Micro Wedding

Corley and George's micro wedding was the very last one I photographed before the shelter in place order in Austin. They came up to Austin from Houston and had four guests; two of those guests were their dogs. Other than the guests, I was there along with the super fun and down to earth videographers over at Cloud Craft Studios, my new favorite wedding singer Mikaela Kahn, and the always wonderful Katrina Baecht with Spoken Heart Ceremonies.

Going through these photos was just what I needed. Their smiles and joy are so infectious. I met them in person for the first time on their wedding day and when I left they felt like old friends. So happy for them and make sure to scroll down to see the champagne and the bee that wanted in on the fun.

Here’s what Corley and George shared with me about their relationship:

“We met on Bumble, haha! Not super romantic but George had to reschedule our first date because he was admitted to the hospital. I thought he was just blowing me off but turns out he was actually sick (he sent me a selfie in his hospital gown). A week later he took me on the greatest first date to Sambucca in Downtown Houston. We listened to live music and had the time of our lives. We went on our next date a few days later and the rest is history.

We’ve been together approximately 5 years and decided on a smaller wedding because we are both very modest and don’t really like the spotlight. We wanted something small and intimate with our closest family and friends. With the shelter in place order, our small wedding became an elopement. We were bummed that our family and friends couldn’t be there but their health and safety was more important to us. Our ceremony ended up being everything we wanted and more. Our two best friends came and even our fur babies were in attendance. I wouldn’t redo a single thing and we were fortunate to have an amazing photographer and videographer capture our day to share with our friends and family.”
