As you may or may not know, I love vintage illustrated diagrams. I've been pretty focused on loving diagrams of the human body, but then Georg Dionysius Ehret happened. Read more about this botanist, entomologist, and illustrator here. Take a look at some of his wonderful work below. You can get prints of his work at Fine Art America on canvas, metal, or even greeting cards. My suggestion is to try drawing your own!
At some point before finding out about Ehret, I got this idea to make little identification cards for plants that were native to my neighborhood. The ones I see all the time but don't really have a name for. Here are some of the photos I took with this idea in mind. I'll make another post once I've got the cards made up, so you can see the result.
